Stallman is also a technical person. Most FOSS people are technically competent as well. There are strong OSS/FOSS groups in TN, but their direction of action has not been efficient enough in the face of lobbying by M$ and other groups. One focus has been on improving FOSS/OSS adoption in the private sector. Corruption is another problem that acts against FOSS adoption. For the proprietary companies, marketing is about being able to sell anything including the utterly worthless at great profit. The OSS groups there do not argue strongly enough and some of them seem to buy dumb arguments on the level of support required by school students. I am saying something about your comment. Best A.
