Ok, I did some research, I could not find a compatiable Vinux with EFI support. 
But I did find the Mac-Linux usb loader, it is here 
http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-boot-a-linux-live-usb-stick-on-your-mac/

that’s how you use it. So far I just tried the app, and it looks completely 
accessable. Hooray!, now off to finding a supported Vinux.

Btw, is there another way to boot from a usb instead of hitting Options at 
startup?
