Its more than just a matter of getting yelled at, or microsoft taking umbrage, Windows will become deactivated and unusable if you just transfer the Vm file to another machine. When you move the VM, you must answer "move", when you are asked y Fusion if you want to do a move or copy of the VM file to the new hardware. I believe this question is asked when you open the vm on the new hardware for the first time, but can't remember exactly. If you specify, copy, fusion will not transfer the authorization key and windows will deactivate. I know, I made that mistake when I brought my Windows7 vm over to my new MBA and didn't understand what I was being asked u fusion. I answered "copy", and I had to reauthorize all my licenses including windows, office, and Jaws, and a few others I think - major pain in the a$$.
