Kawal, yes my MBP will be off the mains and I shut it down when not in use. I 
was just simply wondering when we use Bluetooth or wi-fi these technolagys do 
drain battery power more when in use. So knowing that I just wondered if 
leaving Time Machine on would also drain the battery more like the above two 
technologies.

I hope that now makes more sense.
