But keeping your Mac Book Pro on will also drain the battery so where is the 
logic in this question if you don't mind me asking? 
What i mean is, you are going to leave your Mac Book on off the mains I presume 
so that will also run down the battery will it not? So having your time machine 
on will not make any difference to the battery since it's on any way? Or am I 
not getting the question?
