I don't think you can get it past thirty days, though. That is, if you don't 
purchase it within thirty days of the purchase date of your machine, you're out 
of luck. Of course, Apple is the final authority on this, so give them a call 
and check. Personally, I take my chances with iOS devices and my Mac Mini 
(since it never leaves the house), but if I ever get an Apple laptop, Apple 
Care is the first thing I'm signing up for.
