Hi, I think the simplest solution is to just turn off trackpad commander. With the trackpad commander off, the only way the mouse would bring voiceover focus all over the place with accidental presses is if you have set your mouse cursor to move your VO cursor in Voiceover utilities. If you don't have this option selected, the mouse will just move around, and you won't be the wiser to the accidental presses.
