Aple could not make it simpler to add accessibility. If the app is written in 
something other than Objective-C, you may have a problem, but anything that 
uses the native Mac APIs and frameworks can easily be made accessible. I don't 
have links on hand, but a google search for "accessibility programming 
objective-c" or similar should yield plenty of resources.
