Dear Listers,

I've found some instructions from ERic Caron on applevis that make it possible
to reassign caps lock to act as vo keys. THis is supposed to be accomplished
with an application called key-remap4mac. I don't seem to be able to accomplish
what is described by Eric. When I go to the table of key assignments in change
key tab, and i try to check the box that is supposed to make it possible to use
caps key as vo keys, the box doesn't remain checked and the caps key doesn't
respond. Has anyone else found it problematic too? I am asking you before I
contact the developer. I'm not sure, whether Eric is on this list or not.

One of the reasons I'm trying to reassign the caps key is that the entire
process described on applevis, which also involves using key-remap4mac app as
well as pc-keyhack by the same developer, is supposed to make it possible to
allow caps lock to be used as modifier key for screen readers in windows that
run in fusion. This eliminates the need to use sharp keys. I have not tested
caps key under fusion yet as I am waiting to get some assistance to install
Windows7 and NVDA.
