Hi All, Voice Dream Reader - Text to Speech is on sale today for $4.99, down from the regular list price of $9.99. This is an excellent app for reading a variety of document formats such as text, Word, and Pages, eBooks without DRM (including Bookshare books), PDFs, etc. with high-quality Acapela voices. The basic app comes with the Heather voice, and you can purchase additional voices, including those for other languages, for $1.99 - $2.99 each through in-app purchase. The app is frequently updated, and the developer is very responsive to new feature requests and supporting VoiceOver.
You may have read previous extensive list discussion of this app. There is also a free lite version of the app that you can try, but according to the app description, the paid version is only on sale today, so don't delay. I tried to post to both the viphone list and cc to the macvisionaries list after listing the deal at AppleVis, but somehow the macvisionaries list post didn't show up.
