True, if you have a Macbook with the right trackpad (anything made within the last three or four years will). If you have a desktop, you will need the Magic Trackpad ($70 from Apple). Some gestures are not the same, however, and the Mac includes many gestures that the iPhone does not. Have a look at the vo utility, commanders, trackpad, assign commands. In there you can see what all the default gestures do, and assign your own to be executed when you perform a gesture while holding down a modifier key like control or command.
