Hi Katie, To select text in Text Edit, make sure quick Nav is off. Then interact with the text, and press vo+enter to start your selection. Use normal nnavigation commands to get the text you wish. Wehn finished with the selection, press vo+enter to end. In Safari, try shift+down arrow to select lines, at least.
