Hello Anne and thanks It seems that Readiris is currently available for 69 Euros from the developers, while Abbyy is GBP 69.99 from the App Store. I don't know the current conversion rate, but that's a wee bit cheaper.
I had been given the impression that people had to get Vuescan as well as Abbyy, is this incorrect? Years ago, I used to use OmniPage and was very happy with it, but that was with Outspoken and I can't find anyone who uses it with VO.
