Hmmm, I am not sure I understand what you mean when you say you cannot OCR within the app. I can OCR within prizmo. If you did not OCR in prizmo than how did you OCR with Prizmo to compare to abbyy? :) I was hoping Prizmo was a good trade off because the price for Prizmo was quite a bit less than Abbyy and I also would not have to purchase VuScan.
I still don't quite get Prizmo yet though. :) I was able to scan within the app than I was able to perform OCr. Then I Exported it into a PDF. That PDF read quite nicely in Preview. This is off of VERY limited experience though. I do want to add that I personally find the User's Guide impossible to understand. Maybe I'm a ditz but I truly feel it was poorly executed.
