It's kind of hit or miss with mountain lion. But what you do is. High light the folder you want to put in favorites, hit command coma to drag it, stop interacting with the mailbox list, Go to your favorites bar, interact with it, go just to the left of the mailbox where you want it, then hit command period to drop it. Like I said, with mountain lion it's sketchy, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. In lion this feature was flawless! Good luck..

Hi all, How do I add a new folder I made to the favorites bar? I made a filter in gMail so all apple-related items can skip the inbox and go right into this new label, and of course the new label made a new folder on my imap-enabled devices that use my gMail account. I would like to set this up so I can just hit cmd-2 to access it, but the context menu for the folder shows nothing about the favorites bar. I know I'm missing something simple, but what? Thanks.
