I do agree, and may look into an alternative soon, because I don't really want something that costs much, but I want something that I can use on SIP, or even a dedicated, accessible app, but I'd like to have the option of sip as well. But Google is pretty much the only thing that has enough influence and money to do something like this, but they're just so darn proprietary and can't let their services be the least bit flexible.
