I have a question which I really hope one of you can answer. This question pertains both to I O S, as well as to O S X. All of my e-mail accounts are set up via IMap. I don't have any that are pop3. With this said, I am extremely forgetful when it comes to clearing out my sent items folders, and my deleted items folders. Especially on I O S, I usually just delete the mail, and then am done with it. This means that over time, my trash folders for each mailbox get really full of gunk, and my sent mailboxes do as well. I know on O S X, I can hit command+shift+delete to delete all mail in all trash folders, which I do remember to do on occasions, but even that sometimes is not something I always remember to do. Ultimately, I'd like to make this process more automatically seemless. Here lies my question. Is there a way I can have it where when I quit Mail on my Mac, it will automatically perge not only my local trash mailbox, but also will automatically delete all mail in all trash folders in all my IMap accounts? Also, can I have I O S set so that when I delete e-mails, they do not then go to the mailbox's trash folder on the imap server? If you're reading this going, ok, you're rambling… what is it exactly you're trying to do. Basically, I want to on I O S be able to turn my rotor to actions, then immediately flick down, then double tap to delete an e-mail, then not have to even worry about then going in and wiping the trash folder for that account. When I delete, I don't want it in my trash folder locally, nor on the imap server. I want it to just be bam! gone forever all eternity. I know you all probably are saying, um… I wouldn't do that if I was you… I know, I know the whole thing about, well crud! where'd that e-mail from Jain Doe go? I know, I know. I insist though. this really is how I want it. I want it this way in Mail on my mac as well. Is there a way I can make this happen?
