Hi there
I'm not sure but I think you can rename the folders. I found this out by 
accident when I downloaded a book twice, and the Mac automatically renamed one 
of them a little bit, I think with a number on the end of the folder name. I 
have not had a problem downloading books by the same author, so I'm not sure 
what's going on with that.
