Brian, Rest assured, you are not the only one experiencing this. I started having this issue yesterday. I actually wondered if it was because I hadn't upgraded to ML.
I used Facebook on a PC for a very short time years ago and I seem to remember the combo edit boxes then, but I don't remember the combo edit boxes rendering the field inaccessible to the screen reader I used then. As Donna, mentioned, I did find the edit box containing the information I typed either as my status update or as a comment to a friend's post. It does take some navigating, but I also have been using the item chooser to get me to that box quicker. I don't know how others are dealing with it, but I find that the accessible edit box appears at the bottom of the FB page for me and I use VO+FN+right arrow to get me there. I will keep playing to find any possible work-arounds. If it continues, I will e-mail FB. As others point out, they don't always respond, but I find that at 66% of the time I have submitted an issue, they do get back to me and do seem to try to fix the issue. I'll see over the next few days as I have also found that when a problem of inaccessibility arises, it takes a few days or even weeks, but it does get fix. At least, it does for me.
