Yes.

You indeed are missing something. What if the hardware started failing, and things were getting disconnecting and reconnecting, etc. wouldn't you wanna know things were mal-functioning? Otherwise, you may be here for a while pulling out your hair trying to figure out why things keep failing. ok, is it the drive, is it the port, is it disc permissions on a drive, is my charger going bad, etc. etc.

This way, you'll know something came unplugged.

Also what if like me you have a huge tangle of cords, and one wrong move could mean something coming undone. Wouldn't you rather know that something got unplugged, and even more specifically what! came uplogged than having to crawl all the way under your desk, and middle muck with a speghetti factory just to find the guilty cable?

Maybe I'm missing something here but, what good is such an app? I mean, wouldn't you know if you unplugged a USB device or, turned off your wifi radio?

Hardware Growler is an app that allows you to see Growl notifications whenever you do something hardware related. For example, connecting or disconnecting a USB device, turning Wi-Fi on or off, etc.

Besides Dropbox, I have Growl, Hardware Growler, Soundflowerbed, and Boxcar. What does Trillian do. I could install it on my machine and test it for you, if you'd like.

That is correct, no menu comes up or pops down. I even had trouble
getting Trillion to work. What have you installed on your menu extras
bar that works

Hi Brian,

When you say that the menu extras don't work, do you mean that no menu comes up when you press VO-Space on a particular item? I've added a couple of things besides Dropbox to mine, and they all work perfectly.

Hey all,

Been trying to add some new apps to my mac, and I have noticed that
anything I try and add that puts itself in the Menu Extras doesn't
seem to work with VO. It could be that these apps do not work with
Voiceover, or it could be that the Menus Extras just dones't work very well with VO. My dropbox works fine, but I tried to install Menu Pages
for Facebook, got it successfully downloaded from the App store as it
is in my app folder, but when I go to launch it, it just appears in
the menu extras, and will tell me that Menu Pages for Facebook has no
windows. I have tried installing other apps that send themselves to
the Menus Extras all free Facebook related apps and anything that goes
in to the menu extras just doesn't seem to work. Has anyone put
anything successfully in to the menu extras outside of dropbox? Thanks
