Hmmm, as far as I can tell, when you use VO-shift-m on the dock, it just lists options for manipulating the folder. If you use this keystroke in the dock, find the "open folder" option and hit enter. Otherwise, simply open the folder from the finder with command-option-l. Then find your items and use command-backspace to delete them.
