Hi all, I just made a discovery and wanted to toss it out there in case anyone else finds this problem. When I upgraded to 10.8, I found vo reading mail messages to me when they came in even if I was not in the mail app. I was annoyed, but soon realized what was going on. I went to the notificaiton center, selected the preferences button, found mail in the table, and unchecked banners. The problem, apparently, was that vo was reading notifications like it is supposed to, but mail was notifying me of every new message. Just a note to anyone else who is having mail read to them and can't figure out why.
