I double checked the view options and found that I had not checked all the options I thought I had. Once I checked I cloud Status and kind I found a lot more information listed by each song.
One thing I still don't understand, the kind shows mpeg audio and not .mp3. but when I look at the files in the finder in my library they are still mp3 files. They do seem to be playing clearer in iTunes. I'm guessing they are playing through the internet. Is there a way to ask iTunes to download the improved version so that will play when i'm not connected to the internet? I really really do need help with this question!
