I think of the previous recipients list as a sort of holding tank of addresses 
that have been dealt with in mail. You can then take these and put them in your 
address book or delete them. I actually like this feature. When I used to use 
Outlook Express in windows, I was a little annoyed to find every single address 
I'd replied to in my address book. I don't necessarily want every address in 
there.
