Thanks, I'm doing a little better now. I had a good cry and I feel better.
I still am unsure as to whether to have him sent back to his puppy raiser, or to help transition him to an adoptive family here. the only advantage to the latter is that I would get to see him every once in a while. The advantage to the former is that he'd be with someone he knows. So many decisions to make.
