The eyepal is a camera on a monopod that plugs into the computer just like the pearl. Everything is saved directly on the computer and no transferring required. It's both mac and windows compatible. There are some qwerks in it, but overall I think it's a good product. I like the pearl camera a lot but I'm not overjoyed with openbook or the idea of being locked into one system.
