Then whenever I start the Dropbox module by hand, I get the same issues. this confirms further that some how, Dropbox and the finder go nuts in my environment. Also, if I start Dropbox, I could merely avoid the finder alltogether and just use shell commands to move/copy files to/from the Dropbox folder and then kill the app after Dropbox is caught up.
