Hi All,

One of the interesting accessible alternatives for Office on the Mac is Nisus
Writer Pro, which had a major version update a few months ago, and was very
favorably reviewed at TidBITS:
• Nisus Writer Pro 2.0: The Review
http://tidbits.com/article/12220
(This is a very detailed review, but the upshot is that the author considered
the new additions rendered it superior to both Word and Pages as his basic
writing tool. Also, for international list members, this app features
extensive multi-lingual support.)

Nisus Writer Pro is being offered as part of the MacLegion 2011 Winter Bundle
of 10 apps for $49.99. It regularly lists for $79.00, and these apps entitle
you to the full support of regular purchases and updates, so this is a good
deal. Another interesting bundle app that has been highly rated by list
members is MacGourmet Deluxe (normally $49.95). I believe some list members
have also used AppDelete to manage cleaning up application removals, but I'm
less familiar with the other bundled apps and their accessibility status. In
addition, buyers of the first 10,000 bundles will also receive MacScan
(normally lists for $29.95), which will accessibly scan your machine for
spyware or other privacy violations as an additional free app. You can
designate licenses for apps you already own to be gifted to other users on the
check-out page. If you've been thinking of getting any of these apps, the total
bundle price of $49.99 for 10 apps (or 11 if you act early) makes this a very
good deal. You can download a trial version of Nisus Writer Pro, or MacGourmet
Deluxe if you want to check things out before buying the bundle. This deal runs
through the next 2 days. Here's the URL:

Cheers,

Esther
