Hello, I would never purchase a major apple product without the Apple Care Protection Plan. In numerous situations over the last several years, Apple has truly honored the Apple Care Protection Plan. For example, replacing an iMac, Replacing an iPod and a few other things. This is truly a case where purchasing insurance, Warrenty for your devices is really worth it in every respect. It may be a few more bucks than you expect to pay, but Apple has never let me down.
