Just verified that App Store is not an option in the Open With context menu for a document in 10.6. I'm still holding out for 10.7.1 before I jump. Just a habit I've learned over the years.

hey guys!

I found a couple of awesome things in Lion today…don'tcha just love OSX!? there
are always new secrets to be found! and I just wanted to share.

firstly, if you have a file with an extension with no apps associated with it,
you can easily browse the app store to find an app to open it!

1. VO shift m on the file you want to open and find open with.
2. VO right arrow to open the "open with" sub menu and find app store…
3. VO space on that and it'll take you right to the app store to relevant apps
you could install to open your file!

this could've been in snow leopard too but I don't remember ever seeing it
there and was excited to find it today!

also. remember that annoying bug that used to be in preview where if you
command tabbed away from preview and then back again it would take you to the
top of your document? yeah…no more!! now if you take focus away from preview
and bring it back again it keeps your spot!! yes yes yes!

just had to share!

peace and positivity
