experience is that the User Agent switches back to "Default" when you open a
new tab or window. It is usually not a good idea to fake a User Agent in the
browser because certain JavaScript routines behave differently in the various
browsers, and complicated web sites like LinkedIN and FaceBook will customize
their javascript for the browser. The primary problem with this when running
webkit is that the User Agent changes for each version so the web site might
not recognize the browser you are in and default to something very strange.

The other time I will change User Agent is when I get a message stating please
run a supported web browser our site only supports Internet Explorer or
Firefox.
