Hi everyone,
Well, I don't wish to be pesty, or redundent, but I understand that some
of my messages to this wonderful list did not get through to you guys,
so I wanted to re-introduce myself just one more time to you. My name
is Johnny Chilelli from Erie PA.
Firstly, I just wanna say thanks for being \there. I mean, you guys
take the mystery out of the supposed difficulties of moving from Windows
to the Mac. My state agency has just approved testing and evaluation
for me on the Apple Mac platform so I am
feverishly gleaning everything I can from this list so that I am
prepared to move to the next step of obtaining a MBP through the PA
State agency for my work and daily needs as a church minister, musician
/ writer, and long time piano tuner/technician in the Erie
county area.
One of the things I need to show the state is that the Mac will be able
to satisfactorally fill the needs of a piano tuner. Hence, I need an
accessible database and contact list program. Someone on this fine list
did tell me about one database program for me to look at. Because I
don't yet have a Mac, I saved his message for future reference along
with many other messages from this list.
I will also need suggestions for an invoicing program as well. I
understand that emailing is nicely covered, as well as word processing
and spreadsheet work. An appointment schedueling planner or appointment
book would certainly be needed as well. Any further suggestions about
any of these program areas is greatly appreciated.
Also, I am interested in knowing if anyone on the list uses any sort of
accessible
Biblical study programs on your Mac.
Finally, please let me know of any good Mac tutorial resources out there
written
with the blind layperson in mind that you feel would be a good place for
me to learn
from along with this great list. Remember, I don't yet have a Mac, so I
am only looking for some good reading/learning
resources.
