Hi, I use an Alva Satelite 544 which is a quite old display but it works, or should i say worked well until OsX 10.6 when it decided it no longer wanted to play, this was due to incompatibility with the international braille system mentioned below. Now please let me clarify that i think it has nothing to do with the international braille table app that Anne and Archy are working on as such, i just don't remember what to do to get my Alva rolling with these tables. There was some file or other that had to be moved or removed, but i'm damned if i could figure out what and how to make the thing be recognized as a display. If anyone knows, please shed some light as i really want my braille to work, but when it works, the Braille works well for what i do. It would be good if i could be able to let the display run freely, that is, that it isn't tied to the vo cursor. That would be great for reading in places where the vo cursor isn't. Also, i'd love to have the braille display not repeat what the speech just said, it's unnecessary info, at least for me, though others may need it, which is why there should be a toggling possibility for that. Sorry for this rather longish post. /Krister
