Hi: I have just ordered a new Mac Mini and can't wait to try it out. I saw one at the store in Chattanooga (a Best Buy store) and was impressed with the overall responsiveness of VoiceOver. This, in spite of using a high-quality voice, such as Alex. When I use a high-quality voice on Windows, I get no such performance.
One small problem. I don't have a display I can plug in. I have a VGA monitor and have ordered, after the fact, the mini display port to vga adapter which should allow me to plug in my monitor once it arrives. However, it most likely will arrive 3 or more days after the Mac Mini arrives here. Mike arrigo has told me, already, that VoiceOver will perform sluggishly without a display connected. Mike, feel free to chime in here, if you wish, but, input from other users is appreciated. How sluggish will it be. Will it be to the point that I need to go have a snack while I press arrow keys or perform VO commands, or, can I maybe live with it for 3 or 4 days? Have any of you played with this and maybe gotten arround it, at least temporarily? Any help is much appreciated. __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 3890 (20090226) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group.
