Yep, no problem with that aspect here. It was just the initial setup that I 
couldn't access at all. Throughout, VO just kept saying "dropbox has no 
windows". My husband was reading all kinds of stuff in the window, though. Now 
that it's set up, I hope i never accidentally log out. LOL

By the way, on my system, the preferences window does not show up in the 
application-chooser.
