Make sure that the USB end of the USB cable that goes into the back of the
drive is securely seated.

Subject: xternal hard drive not showing up on desktop.

Hi all,

I have a western digital pasport which is not showing up.  I am able to
deteced that ikt iks being seen or that it is getting power from the usb
port, but not showing up.  I looked in finder prefs abnd externals  diives
is set to show up on the desktop.  I have beebn having problems with this
for some time.  Anyideas?  I hope my drive isn't going bad.  I could not get
windows to see it eather.  Thanks.
