If you can wait another 6 months, Mac 9S X 10.7 (Lion) will probably be out by then and it will come free with your new Mac. This will have even more VoiceOver goodies installed. Of course, if you do not want to wait that long, you can always upgrade your OS when Lion comes out, the beauty of the Mac is even blind users can install an OS without sighted assistance.
I much prefer surfing on my Mac as I can whizz around web pages much quicker then I can on Windows with JAWS. Plus VoiceOver is more stable. Web browsing, Email and Skype and iTunes work very well with VoiceOver on the Mac. My only gripe is that Office for Mac is not accessible, that really would be the cherry on the cake for me. And it would be nice if some music packages were as accessible as Reaper and Sonar are on Windows, but the Mac is steadily coming along in those areas.
