If you want a specific example of the kinds of searches you can run (full text, subject, from field, etc.), you can read my archived reply to Mary:

(To read up the thread to a previous post, use Control-P; to read down the thread to the next post, use Control-N. This is for Safari. Other browsers have different access keys in place of the Control key -- e.g. "Alt" for Internet Explorer).
