Hi, I think that's crap. lol. In general there will always be more compatible digital devices for windows than the Mac. Keep in mind, most of the stuff you won't be using in the first place. There are many obscure products out there that just develop for windows because they have the most potential customers on the platform. I think this is a problem people run into less and less on a Mac as its market share grows. About school. It really depends on the user. Are they willing to tinker and find work arounds? If so, then the answer is probably yes. For example, I don't think there is 1 application for the Mac that has the accessibility and ease of use as MS word with Jaws. Many people get by though. They use pages, open office, text edit and a couple others to get the job done. The same holds true with scanning/OCR programs.
