Good Morning Frank, You can't. You would have to select the item in the web rotor or iTem chooser, interact with it, then press VO W. If you are in the menu bar or a context menu, the spell command works just fine. BTW, I set up a command on the keyboard commander to spell items in the voiceover cursor alphabetically. I find having to press VO W 2 or 3 times annoying.
