Holy cow!!! You nailed it! I have no idea why this didn't occur to me. LOL As soon as I read your message, I remembered that I had used quicknav earlier today, and apparently it didn't get turned off. I don't use quicknav very often at this point, so I guess that might explain why it didn't just jump to the forefront of my mind. It makes perfect sense now. LOL Although, I am a little surprised it did not get disabled when I restored the defaults within VoiceOver. In any case, thank you, everyone, for your help! Your suggestions always mean a great deal to me, because I always learn so much more about my mac while in the midst of troubleshooting. <grin> Yay, happy day!
