Growl is open Source software, which means everyone can contribute. The source itself actually provides some excellent Read Me documents to introduce you to how Growl works with registering itself for applications, how to utilize the various programming languages with Growl, etc. Since, at this time at least, no one is making extensive development modifications to the Speech display style I thought I would give it a go. Of course, I'd be happy if someone else decided to take up that code as I don't have the required amount of time at the moment to do more than glance at it.
