You would not get the Mac OS or VoiceOver on a netbook. Also netbooks are more under powered then the Macbook Air and tend to have smaller keyboards and do not have track pad gestures.
Other netbooks will not have the same build quality either. The Macbook is a fantastic note taker and offers instant on which you will not find on other netbooks / sub notebooks. I had hoped it would have been a fraction cheaper and come with a minimum of 128GB, but am sure this will be the case in the not so distant future. I personally am very excited by the device and love the direction Apple are going, but I think I will wait until the next release.
