Hi Mary,

Just saw your note, but yes, this is a monster. Well what makes it a monster is
the weight and size. The size in height is partially the result of the scanner
sitting on top of the printer. Think of the scanner as being suspended over the
output tray for the printer so you could put your hand all the way through from
front to back. In other words, the scanner forms a bridge over the printer
output tray. So, this adds a good six or eight inches to the height of the
printer. It is a nice looking device. The scanner has a feeder and the control
panel sits in front of the scanner. Below you have the printer, which is at
least 12 inches tall and the whole unit probably weighs in at about 40 to 50
pounds. I cannot recall the exact specs, but the toner cartridges sit in a
slide-out drawer above the paper drawer. There are four cartridges, which make
up the colors and one nice feature is the drum and toner are all in one unit.
So, when it comes time to replace the toner, you pull the cartridge unit and
recycle the entire thing. So, you get the new drum and toner in one
self-contained unit. The printer is pretty good on consuming little power from
what I understand and it does print very nice pictures etc. Yes, this machine
is not cheap, but it is considered a commercial unit such as would be found in
a business. I want to say it is rated for 3,000 pages per month or something
along those lines. There is the 1320 I believe, which is similar, but lower
capacity. It turns out that after a lot of consideration and checking specs, I
would pay more for the CM2320 up front, but the cost per page would be much
less and I would get a bit better machine for the dollar.
If I can provide any other info, let me know.
