I'm not sure but I red what you said!
And I think you are missing out a stage, after your 1st vo enter, Mike said to 
highlight the text, the only way I know to do this is, from the top of the text 
hold down shift and downarrow until you reach the bottom, that should highlight 
the text!
Then you should be able to copy!
I'm not sure this is the quick way but it might work!
Or that other suggestion will be better!
