If I want to comment on something I just hit the comment button in the feed for the particular item I want to comment on.
I write on walls and such occasionally. I'm not huge into my status though. For me to update it every 12 hours or so with minutia like, "oh feelin great did a bunch of house chores", or "ah feel like crap, got a client cansilation"... never really saw the point in that. I'm just not at the computer enough for that for one thing, and who gives a rip for another. I got to admit, as much as I like some of the people who are on my fb, I'm not entranced by the minutia of their day to day existence enough to dial up facebook and read all about it.
