the danger of doing podcasts as in a how too by a beginner is that you may not quite know all of the answers that may solve some issues. the mac is a forever learning tool in my opinion. the guys over at blind cool tech are very experienced and some who have that much experience have a lot of the answers and that can be overwhelming. There are a lot of guides all around the web on various blogs and mac's inbuilt system is very sufficient for a beginner. One of the most important things to remember as a switcher is to put your windows days aside. Mac is its own platform and voice over its own screen reading software. the tutorial you get once you load up your mac is a very useful starting place. as I said earlier, maccessibility.net and another useful site is http://icanworkthisthing.com. I know a lot have struggled with the switching process but remember it is completely and utterly possible, I and others are proof of this.
And most folks on here are very helpful if you have any questions. The audio stuff Apple provided on Leopard helped my switch to be very smooth. I listened to the audio before I put my hands on the mac and again when I got the mac. and I hadn't joined a mailing list for a few months until some questions I needed answering. Even now, others have more knowledge about some things while I find I can help others with certain issues. But it's only as hard as you make it for yourself.
