Hello,
It is a long time since I set up a new Mac and so would appreciate your advice
re the following:

1. Can I setup the new MacBook without sighted assistance? Will Alt+F5 start
VoiceOver by default?

2. Do I need to do anything special to enable the new MacBook to manage my
Apple ID such as add a new iPhone? Can I simply setup my existing Apple ID on
the new MacBook which will probably have a different startup name and password
than my old iMac.

I want to avoid using migration assistant as that might transfer a lot of junk
to the new MacBook. I will download and install all non-standard Apps from
scratch. Once I have VoiceOver working on the new MacBook and have connected to
my existing Apple ID I am confident on how to do everything else. I have
detailed instructions on how to transfer 1 Password.

Many thanks for your advice.
Best regards … Paul Hopewell
