I’ve noticed this recently. Sometimes when VoiceOver reads a special character, it’ll use the name of that character from another language. It doesn’t switch voices or anything, just calls it something completely different. For example, I was just reading something and it called a slash a “salitus” (not sure of the spelling). Assuming that’s from another language though I’m not sure which one.
How do I disable this? It’s incredibly annoying. I’m a programmer and use these sorts of characters every day.
