I disagree, it's ridiculous to provide a power button at all if you see no 
plausible use for it. And while earlier machines did this, crucially this could 
be disabled completely. I don't mind if Apple's customers want this silly 
feature, but I'd be very glad if they made it an option because it obviously 
makes cleaning the machine harder.
